About the Farm
Upper Vobster Farm is a beautiful country property. There are so many pressures around us that take away our space and time. The farm is somewhere where you can be yourself again.
We have 40 acres of land, including a 6 acre wood. Catch a glimpse of the resident kingfishers, see a barn owl take flight or hear the woodpecker at work in the ancient oak tree. As our guest you are welcome to enjoy all that we have to offer. There are wonderful walks, places to sit and space to be.
Stroll down to the stream in the valley below. Rest at our large ponds, and visit our magical woodands. Grasses and wildflowers are abundant in summer, bluebells and wild garlic in spring and numerous fungi in autumn. Winter frosts leave an enchanting feel to treasure when you're all wrapped up and have the luxury of coming back to a warming fire. A welcome also awaits you from our North Ronaldsay rare breed sheep, pygmy goats, many happy hens, the peacocks and various ducks, which live in their own castle.
